OGDC Increases Working Interest in Qadirpur D&PL to 82.99% After Acquiring KUFPEC Stake

ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) has completed the acquisition of an additional 7.99% Working Interest in the Qadirpur Development and Production Lease (D&PL) through a Farm-in Agreement with M/s KUFPEC Pakistan B.V. (KPBV), raising its total stake in the Qadirpur D&PL to 82.99%.
Following Government of Pakistan approval and the execution of a Deed of Assignment (DOA), the transfer of 7.99% Working Interest from KPBV to OGDC has been formally effected under Rule 8 and Rule 9 of the Pakistan Onshore Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Rules, 1986.
With the completion of this acquisition, OGDC’s Working Interest in the Qadirpur D&PL / Concession Area (Block 2667-1) has increased from 75.00% to 82.99%, consolidating the company’s position as the major operator in one of Pakistan’s key producing gas fields. The company had earlier disclosed the planned acquisition on January 23, 2025.
