Erdoğan travels to Qatar to offer condolences on death of former emir

Doha ( WNAM MONITORING): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan personally offered his condolences to the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday for the passing of his father, the former Emir of the Arab country, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Erdoğan was received at Hamad International Airport in the capital, Doha, by Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Saud bin Abdurrahman bin Hasan Al Zani, from where they went to Lusail Palace.

Erdoğan is accompanied by his wife, Emine Erdoğan, who also offered her condolences to Moza bint Nasir, wife of the late former emir of Qatar.

The Turkish delegation includes the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, the Chief of Intelligence, İbrahim Kalın, the Director of Communications for the Presidency, Burhanettin Duran, the Chairman of Religious Affairs, Safi Arpaguş, and the Turkish Ambassador to Qatar, Mustafa Göksu.
