Islamabad ( WNAM REPORT ): The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Pakistan hosted a special ceremony to honor senior Pakistani journalists for their outstanding contribution to promoting stronger Kazakhstan-Pakistan relations through responsible and objective journalism.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, presented certificates of appreciation to distinguished media professionals in recognition of their role in enhancing mutual understanding and fostering closer people-to-people ties between the two friendly countries.
Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador Kistafin paid tribute to the Pakistani media for highlighting Kazakhstan’s growing engagement with Pakistan and for projecting the immense opportunities for bilateral cooperation. He said the media serves as a vital bridge between nations by encouraging dialogue, promoting cultural understanding, and strengthening public awareness of the enduring friendship between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. He expressed confidence that closer collaboration with the media would further reinforce the strong diplomatic and economic partnership between the two countries.
The Ambassador also gave a comprehensive overview of Kazakhstan’s remarkable economic transformation, political reforms, technological advancement, modern infrastructure, and investment-friendly environment. He highlighted his country’s strategic position as a gateway connecting Central Asia with South Asia and Europe, while emphasizing the vast potential for expanding cooperation with Pakistan in trade, investment, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, education, tourism, and regional connectivity. He noted that both countries enjoy cordial relations based on mutual trust and shared aspirations for regional peace, stability, and economic prosperity.
Ambassador Kistafin reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to further deepening bilateral ties through enhanced diplomatic engagement, business-to-business linkages, cultural exchanges, and stronger media cooperation. He said Pakistan remains an important partner for Kazakhstan in South Asia and stressed that continued interaction between journalists of both countries would contribute significantly to promoting mutual understanding and bringing the people of the two nations even closer.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to senior journalists, who appreciated the Embassy’s initiative and reaffirmed the media’s commitment to strengthening Kazakhstan-Pakistan friendship by promoting constructive engagement and highlighting new avenues of cooperation between the two countries.
