BAKU ( WNAM MONITORING): Azerbaijan’s non-oil and gas exports, excluding non-monetary gold, increased by 17.6% year-on-year to $2.8 billion in January-August 2026.
In August alone, the value of the country’s non-oil and gas exports increased by 13% year-on-year to $350.8 million.
During the reporting period, food exports amounted to $80.7 million, while exports of non-food products, excluding non-monetary gold, increased by 11.4% to $251.1 million.
According to the data, export values of sugar increased 2.3-fold during the reporting period, while cotton yarn exports rose by 62.2%, aluminum and aluminum products by 42.8%, vegetable and animal fats and oils by 30.2%, ferrous metals and products made from them by 20.5%, cotton fiber by 17.8%, fruit and vegetables by 13.7%, and tea by 12.1%.
Over the year, the value of agricultural exports increased by 19.2% to $732 million, while exports of agro-industrial products rose by 22.1% to $255.8 million.
The combined value of agricultural and agro-industrial exports increased by 19.9% to $987.8 million.
