Historic Victory for Mian Parvez Aslam Group in RCCI Elections Reflects Traders’ Trust: Mian Akram Farid

RAWALPINDI (WNAM REPORT ):  Mian Akram Farid, Patron-in-Chief and Chairman of the Rawalpindi Iron & Steel Association (City Sadar Road), has extended his heartiest congratulations to Group Leader and former President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Sohail Altaf, on the landslide and historic victory of the Mian Parvez Aslam Group in the RCCI Elections 2026.

All corporate sector candidates of the Mian Parvez Aslam Group had already been elected unopposed. In the associate sector elections, the group swept all 10 available seats with a decisive, heavy margin. This clean sweep serves as undeniable proof that the Mian Parvez Aslam Group remains the sole, trusted voice of the Rawalpindi business fraternity, under the undisputed and visionary guidance of Sohail Altaf.
Highlighting the performance of the outgoing administration, Mian Akram Farid noted that RCCI President Usman Shaukat and his entire cabinet executed robust measures throughout their tenure to resolve key grievances facing local traders and chamber members. He emphasized that this proactive approach and unwavering dedication to economic stability were the driving forces behind the group’s magnificent electoral triumph.
Mian Akram Farid paid rich tribute to Tariq Waheed Butt, the newly elected representative from the Rawalpindi Iron & Steel Association, who achieved an outstanding personal victory by securing the second-highest total votes overall. He commended the election team, particularly praising Vice Chairman Malik Afzal alongside senior association members—including Sheikh Abdul Abid, Mian Fayyaz, Muhammad Yaqoob, and Imran Sunny—for running a highly energetic, organized, and impactful election campaign.
