NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday conducted a successful test of a new version of a medium-range ballistic missile, according to the Indian Defense Ministry.
“A successful launch of the new variant of a Medium-Range Ballistic Missile was carried out under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command,” the ministry said in a statement, adding that the launch has proven the operational capability of the command and validated new technologies.
Additionally, Bharat Bhushan Babu, Indian Defense Ministry’s principal spokesman, posted on X: “This test underscores operational readiness and showcases advancements in technology.”
India this month also carried out a successful test flight of an indigenous cruise missile.
