Jakarta: Bali Provincial Secretary Dewa Made Indra stated in an online press conference that Bali is ready to hold the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) on May 18-25, 2024.
Indra stated that the Bali provincial government collaborates with the central government, Indonesian Military (TNI), and National Police (Polri), as well as other stakeholders in preparing for the arrivals of delegates at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.
His side and other stakeholders have prepared to ease the mobility of delegates and logistics as well as facilitate accommodation during the international forum.
“Bali is the right place to host very important, huge, and strategic events,” Indra stated at the press conference on Bali’s Preparation as the Host of the 10th WWF.
Indra explained that a Balinese welcoming ceremony will be held for every delegation from participating countries.
The heads of state and government arriving at the Ngurah Rai Airport will be welcomed with a Balinese traditional dance.
Bali’s cultural performances related to the 10th WWF theme of “Water for Shared Prosperity” will also be showcased to the delegates. Indra said, Bali’s culture is rich in glorifying water, among which is the Melukat tradition.
“Our saying is toya uriping bhuwana, or water is the source of life in this universe,” he stated.
He remarked that the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry has checked the routes that the delegates will pass through, in terms of the condition, cleanliness, and beauty.
Indra stated that the Bali Provincial Transportation Office has ensured that all traffic signs function properly to ensure no traffic jams.
