ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): An awards ceremony was convened at the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) in Islamabad, to acknowledge distinguished scientists who have made significant contributions in various research domains such as Animal Sciences, Plant Genomics, Vaccine Development, Floriculture, Aquaculture, Food Security, Agricultural Trade and other related disciplines. Forty eight agricultural scientists were awarded for their meritorious services in their respective fields. Chairman, Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) graced the ceremony as the chief guest. In his address to the scientists, Chairman PARC highlighted the pivotal role of PARC in ensuring national food and nutritional security. Emphasizing the importance of diligence and dedication, he urged all scientists to persevere in their respective fields to further advance the overarching mission.
Furthermore, Chairman PARC underscored the critical need for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in addressing contemporary agricultural challenges. He commended the awardees for their outstanding achievements and encouraged them to continue their pursuit of excellence in research and development. He further said that the council is always ready to support its scientists in every possible manner and the scientists should use this as an opportunity to develop new techniques in order to ensure national food security. The ceremony served as a platform to celebrate the collective efforts of the scientific community in driving progress and sustainability in agriculture, thereby reinforcing the commitment to enhancing food security and promoting scientific advancement in Pakistan.
At the end, all the scientists presented souvenir to chairman PARC for his meritorious services in the field of agriculture and thanked Chairman PARC for solving financial and administrative issues of the council.
