WEB DESK: Vietnam’s national index of industrial production in July increased 11.2 percent year-on-year, according to the latest data released by the General Statistics Office.
In the first seven months of 2024, the index increased 8.5 percent year-on-year, said the office.
The processing and manufacturing sector went up by 9.5 percent from January to July.
The electricity production and distribution sector expanded by 12.4 percent, and the water supply and waste management sector rose by 7.2 percent.
Meanwhile, the mineral exploitation sector reported a year-on-year decline of 6.2 percent during the cited period.
The index of industrial production in the seven months increased in 60 localities nationwide and dropped in three others, said the report.
