WNAM REPORT: Dragon Oil, a partner of the state concern Turkmennebit, has begun implementing artificial intelligence at oil fields during exploration, data processing and analysis of reservoir properties.
This was reported Today with reference to an interview with the company’s CEO Ali Rashid Al Jarwan on the sidelines of the OGT-2024 international forum in Asbaghat. .
The company is very interested in further deepening cooperation, Al Jarwan said.
In terms of innovative technologies, there is a clear focus on the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence in geological exploration, data interpretation and reservoir properties assessment.
“We are discussing all these projects with the state concern,” he noted. “The 3D seismic project has already been implemented on the territory of Turkmenistan on the Cheleken block and on the neighboring block 19. The results of these studies will form the basis of the program for diversifying energy resource production.”
Overall, thanks to Dragon Oil’s contribution, over more than 30 years of cooperation, Turkmenistan has produced and developed approximately 450 million barrels of oil, the CEO added.
