WNAM REPORT: The 29th (COP29) session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, as well as comprehensive preventive measures to ensure uninterrupted and stable electricity supply of Baku city, are being implemented, as per reports citing the “Azerenergy” OJSC.
As a part of these measures, in the event of an accident that may occur in the energy system due to weather and other emergency conditions, the movement of operative personnel, the elimination of the accident, and the simulation of the perfect organization of work will be held with the participation of operational staff. emergency drills were held.
In the regional counter-accident exercise, which was held to increase the knowledge and skills of the operational staff, as well as to strengthen the coordination between the central dispatch management of “Azerenergy” and “Azerishiq” JSCs, if the 220 kV power transmission lines connecting the transmission network infrastructure of Baku city with the energy system are opened. , an alternative scheme was assembled and the restoration of the city’s electricity supply as soon as possible was simulated.
The operational staff of the central dispatch services of “Azerenerji” and “Azerishiq” JSCs, as well as transmission and distribution enterprises, were involved in the counter-accident exercise.
The counter-accident exercise, with the 220-kilovolt “Nizami” substation of “Azerenergy” as its center, aims to increase the level of preparation of the electric power infrastructure for the COP29 events to be held in Baku on November 11-24, and to increase the practical skills of operational personnel.
