President Ersin Tatar has arrived in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, following his contacts in Brussels.
The President, who was accompanied by Rauf Alp Denktaş, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Poland, met with Marek Kłoczko, President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and his delegation at the Polish Chamber of Commerce headquarters.
President Tatar, who thanked Mr. Kloczko for the meeting, stated that the TRNC is a country located in the eastern Mediterranean that has a moderate climate, is embroiled in history of different civilisations, and is known for having rich cultural heritage and hospitality of the Turkish Cypriot People.
Stating that he is visiting Warsaw to talk to business leaders and the press to explain his new vision for a two State settlement in Cyprus and to establish relations, President Tatar said: “The TRNC, despite the inhumane isolation and broken promises by the international community to end our political, economic and social isolation, is continuing to develop with the support of the Republic of Türkiye, located just 40-miles from the Island.”
Stating that the TRNC, which is a sovereign State, has successful tourism, higher education and agricultural sectors, President Tatar added: “I have been informed that Poland is renowned for producing good quality milk, and that there are two Turkish Cypriot entrepreneurs who have established their own farms here and are producing hellim, which makes me very proud.”
Mr. Kloczko thanked President Tatar for visiting the Polish Chamber of Commerce and for providing information about the business potential in the country.
