WNAM MONITORING: During a meeting Turkmen Ambassador Atajan Movlamov and Pakistani Federal Minister of Petroleum Musadiq Malik discussed the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, which is designed to meet the region’s energy needs, nCa reports with reference to the Pakistani Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
During the talks, the Turkmen side invited Pakistan’s Oil Minister to visit Turkmenistan for further discussions on energy cooperation. Mr. Malik expressed gratitude for the invitation and praised Turkmenistan’s commitment to the TAPI project.
Ambassador Movlamov noted the successes of the Pakistani government in improving the economic situation in the country and the growing interest of international investors, especially emphasizing the role of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in achieving these results.
The parties agreed to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of energy, trade and investment.
