WNAM REPORT: According to the Kazakh Embassy in Dushanbe, the Ambassador pointed out a high level of the two countries’ interaction in political, economic, social spheres, as well as in security issues.
The diplomat summarized the results of the Kazakhstan-Tajikistan cooperation in 2024 and announced the plans for the coming year.
Valikhan Turekhanov gave a special attention to the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Tajikistan in August 2024, and to the implementation of the agreements reached following the visit.
He reminded that as part of the visit, the Tajik capital hosted the Trade and Investment Forum, which ended with signing the bilateral contracts to the amount of 900 million U.S. dollars, including the agreements in mining, innovations, IT, grain crops supply etc.
The Kazakh diplomat also highlighted active development of the cultural-humanitarian ties, successful organization of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Tajikistan, and unveiling the bust of Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev in Firdawsi park in Dushanbe.
The participants were also briefed about political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
