WNAM REPORT: A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the CEO of a large Omani company, Areej Vegetable Oils & Derivatives SAOC, Salem Nasser al Bortmany, to create a joint venture for processing agricultural products in Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed creating a ketchup production plant in Samarkand region with the involvement of Areej Vegetable Oils & Derivatives SAOC investments and organizing the supply of tomato paste.
An agreement was reached with the Omani partner to hold an online meeting in the coming days with the participation of Uzbekistan entrepreneurs, followed by a visit to Uzbekistan.
This Omani company specializes in producing vegetable oils and their derivatives, margarine, fats, butter, ketchup, and mayonnaise.
