WNAM REPORT: Kazakhstan has become the leader among Central Asian countries in logistics infrastructure efficiency and customs procedures, surpassing neighboring countries.
According to the LPI (Logistics Performance Index), the results among Central Asian countries are as follows: Kazakhstan – 95th place out of 139 countries (2.7 points); Uzbekistan – 107th place (2.6 points); Tajikistan – 124th place (2.5 points); Kyrgyzstan – 133rd place (2.3 points). Russia ranked 107th with the same overall score as Uzbekistan – 2.6.
The leader of the ranking was Singapore, with the highest overall score of 4.3, demonstrating top performance in nearly all criteria. At the bottom of the list were Afghanistan and Libya, both scoring 1.9, reflecting the low efficiency of their logistics infrastructure and customs procedures.
LPI assesses the logistics efficiency of countries based on six key indicators: customs procedure efficiency, quality of transport infrastructure, ease of organizing deliveries at competitive prices, competency of logistics services, the ability to track cargo in real-time, and the timeliness of delivery within established deadlines.
It was reported earlier, the President ratified an agreement on the construction of a trade and logistics complex at the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border.
