WNAM REPORT: A two-day meeting of representatives of the railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
The parties reviewed the results of cargo transportation across the territory of Kazakhstan via the Bolashak border station, paying particular attention to issues of increasing the attractiveness of the North-South international transport corridor.
Favorable end-to-end tariff conditions for transportation through the territories of Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas were also considered. The meeting participants confirmed their readiness to increase transportation volumes along this route and further strengthen mutual cooperation.
