WNAM REPORT: Kazakhstan has exported 5.8 million tons of grain from new harvest, marking a 53% growth, out of overall 7.4 million tons of grain shipments.
Uzbekistan tops the list of major importers of Kazakhstani grain, as the country has imported 2.2 million tons, a 34% more than in the same period of 2023/24. Tajikistan comes in second with 857,000 tons (49% growth), followed by Iran with 700,000 tons (18fold growth).
Kazakhstan’s grain exports to Azerbaijan has risen 90fold to 363,000 tons. Afghanistan imported 248,000 tons of grain from Kazakhstan, posting a 36% growth.
In January-February 2025, Kazakhstan’s flour shipments stood at 466,000 tons, of which 314,000 went for export.
According to Kazakhstan Railways, the country shipped 10.6 million tons of grain, including 8.1 million tons for export, in 2024. The country’s flour exports rose 3% to 3.2 million tons.
