Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, today held a live e-katcheri session through the official Facebook account of BISP. During the one-hour session, 38 callers from across the country shared their concerns with the Chairperson. Senator Rubina Khalid instructed BISP officials to prioritize resolving all issues and complaints.
Chairperson Khalid stated that the purpose of the e-katcheri session was to directly hear the public’s complaints and address them. She informed the callers that there is no fee for registration in the Benazir Income Support Programme, and the survey is completely free of charge. If anyone demands a fee in the name of BISP, they are deceiving you. There are no fees at any stage of the BISP programs.
Senator Rubina Khalid further explained that the Kafaalat stipend has been increased from Rs. 10,500 to Rs. 13,500, and she thanked the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan for this increase. She also mentioned that direct bank accounts are being opened for deserving women to ensure dignified and transparent payments. She advised callers to provide accurate contact details and home addresses during BISP registration to receive timely payment messages.
Senator Rubina Khalid added that once the survey is conducted, it cannot be repeated before two years. Therefore, there is no need to request another survey or visit the centers repeatedly.
Chairperson cautioned callers at E-Katcheri not to trust messages from any number other than 8171. Deserving women are urged to collect their payments in full, and if there are any deductions, they should immediately register a complaint at 0800-26477 or contact the nearest BISP office. Senator Rubina Khalid assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in fraud or unauthorized deductions, ensuring the integrity and transparency of the programme.
