Baku: Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted an event and exhibition to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia. The gathering included leaders from the Foreign Ministry, members of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, and other officials. The event commenced with the rendition of the national anthems of both nations.
Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev extended congratulations on the 30th anniversary, emphasizing the growth of the strategic partnership across political, economic, humanitarian, scientific-technical, and cultural domains. He highlighted the importance of high-level visits, strategic dialogue, and last year’s meeting in Baku in fostering bilateral cooperation.
Latvian Ambassador Edgars Skuja congratulated both countries on the milestone, expressing optimism for further development. He commended the successful progress of bilateral relations, rooted in mutual friendship and cooperation.
The event also included the exchange of congratulatory letters between the Azerbaijani and Latvian top diplomats, followed by a visit to an exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
