RAWALPINDI ( WNAM REPORT ): The Director General of Pakistan Post, Samiullah Khan, and Postmaster General Faisal Tahseen have praised the exemplary sense of duty demonstrated by mail runner Maqsood Qasim. Maqsood’s dedication to his responsibilities has brought pride to the Pakistan Post department, earning recognition at a ceremony held in the Northern Punjab Circle Rawalpindi.
Maqsood Qasim was awarded a shield, an appreciation certificate, and a gift in recognition of his courageous actions. Despite a cloudburst causing damage to the communication bridge on Chakora Road in Chakwal, cutting off communication between populations, Maqsood Qasim bravely crossed the damaged bridge to deliver mail to relevant post offices.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Postmaster General Sameea Ahmerin commended Maqsood Qasim’s courage, stating that his actions have made the institution proud. “Despite the challenging circumstances caused by recent heavy rains and the damaged bridge in Chakwal, Maqsood Qasim did not let his duties slip,” she said.
