WNAM REPORT: Uzbekistan is steadily strengthening cooperation with international partners to ensure economic development and environmental sustainability. Particular importance in this process is attached to projects and initiatives in the field of green financing, which contribute not only to economic growth but also to environmental protection.
A meeting with representatives of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed the progress of joint green financing projects, the results achieved, and prospects for further cooperation. They also considered opportunities for developing new projects within joint initiatives, continuing fruitful collaboration, and expanding projects aimed at supporting sustainable development and the green economy in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that GGGI is an organization headquartered in Seoul that was granted the status of an international institute by a resolution of the UN General Assembly in 2012. Today, it operates in more than 40 member and partner countries. Its main goal is to support the development of a green economy, sustainable growth, and a low-carbon economic model in participating states.
The meeting became an essential step toward deepening international cooperation in the field of green economy and sustainable development. The implementation of projects and new initiatives in green financing will contribute not only to economic growth but also to strengthening environmental sustainability, which in turn will improve the country’s image on the international stage and create a foundation for forming a favorable investment climate.
