Uzbekistan and Tajikistan strengthen cooperation in field of digitalization

WNAM REPORT: Digital transformation is becoming a crucial factor in the development of every country today. The introduction of information technology is becoming increasingly important not only for the effective organization of public services, but also for ensuring transparency and efficiency in all sectors of the economy.

During his visit to Dushanbe, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with the Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khurshed Mirzo.At the meeting, the Head of the Agency provided detailed information on measures being implemented in the country to develop the digital economy, transfer public services to electronic format, create data exchange systems, and ensure information security. In addition, presentations of digital solutions, platforms, and innovative programs developed by Tajikistan, as well as their practical results, were organized.

During the talks, prospects for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in digitalization, implementing joint projects, and harmonizing the digital ecosystems of the two countries were discussed.

In particular, proposals were put forward to strengthen the integration of information systems of government agencies, the exchange of customs data in digital format, as well as the introduction of a system for the prompt and secure transmission of information.
