Karachi(WNAM Report): A major investment from the United Arab Emirates is expected in Pakistan within the next few months, according to UAE Consul General in Karachi, Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi.

The announcement came during a ceremony in Karachi marking 40 years of Emirates Airline’s operations. The event was attended by senior Emirates officials, representatives from Jinnah International Airport, and the UAE Consulate.

Speaking to the media, Alremeithi said that the UAE would make significant investments in Pakistan across various sectors, adding that related measures were in their final stages. He noted that passengers would soon witness visible improvements in travel facilities at Pakistani airports.

Alremeithi also expressed good wishes for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), describing it as a national symbol that still holds special importance across the world and voiced hope for its full revival.

To commemorate Emirates’ 40-year journey in Pakistan, the airline also announced the launch of a new Premium Economy Class for Pakistani passengers.

Emirates Vice President Muhammad Al-Hashmi recalled that Karachi was the airline’s first international destination when operations began on 25 October 1985. He said Pakistan remains one of Emirates’ most important markets, with flights currently operating from five major cities.

A documentary highlighting Emirates’ four-decade journey and strong ties with Pakistan was also screened during the event.
