Faisalabad ( WNAM REPORT): Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, delivered a high-impact keynote as Chief Guest at the ACCA Pakistan Corporate Conference 2025, held at Serena Hotel, Faisalabad.
Speaking on “Navigating Climate & Economic Shifts – Realising Pakistan’s Export Potential,” Rana aligned his address with the federal government’s Uraan Pakistan economic revival framework. He reiterated the National Export Policy 2025-30, targeting $60 billion in annual exports through value-added textiles, IT services, and green manufacturing. He emphasized FBR’s digital tax reforms including e-invoicing, AI-based audits, and POS integration—to reduce compliance costs and channel revenues into export incentives.
Rana highlighted power sector restructuring under the Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market (CTBCM), enabling 800 MW wheeling auctions and renewable integration to lower industrial tariffs from PKR 48.70 to PKR 44.06 per unit. He also underscored privatization timelines PIA by December 2025, DISCOs from April 2026, and 11 Pakistan Railways trains—to redirect fiscal space toward climate-resilient supply chains.
“Exports must be green, digital, and globally compliant,” Rana asserted, urging ESG adoption under the Pakistan Green Framework. Assad Hameed Khan, Head of ACCA Pakistan, hailed the address as “a roadmap for sustainable competitiveness.”
Themed “Standing Out in a Changed World,” the event featured expert panels on green business and sustainability reporting, followed by networking dinner.
