ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): The two-day 7th International Conference on “Recent Trends in Chemistry” concluded successfully at Allama Iqbal Open University. This year’s central theme, “Chemistry for a Sustainable Future: From Research to Practical Impact,” played a significant role in highlighting new trends in scientific research at both national and international levels.
The closing ceremony was presided over by the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sher Muhammad. In his address, he said that the conference not only achieved all its objectives but also clearly defined new directions for future research. The sessions featured detailed discussions on modern research, innovations, technological advancements, and their practical applications across various fields of chemistry. Participants effectively presented recent developments in energy, environment, materials science, green chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and industrial chemistry.
Dr. Sher Muhammad congratulated the Chairman of the Chemistry Department, Dr. Muhammad Sher, his entire team and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, on the successful organization of the conference.
Speeches were also delivered by Dr. Muhammad Sher, Head of Chemistry; Prof. Dr. Najm-ul-Haq; Prof. Dr. Arshad Mahmood Qureshi; Dr. Muhammad Naeem; and Aram Jabeen.
