Lagos ( WNAM REPORT ): Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the Beauty West Africa exhibition, one of the continent’s largest trade events. The Pavilion, organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) under the Ministry of Commerce, features 19 leading Pakistani companies presenting a wide range of beauty and personal care products.
During the visit, the Coordinator held a series of high-level meetings with senior Nigerian government officials, including Ms. Aisha Rimi, Executive Director of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC); Mrs. Nonye Ayeni, Executive Director of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC); and Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI). Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral trade, resolving market access constraints, and improving logistical and financial facilitation for businesses in both countries.
In addition to the TDAP-supported exhibitors, several independent Pakistani companies are also participating, reflecting the growing interest of Pakistan’s private sector in the African market. A networking dinner was hosted for Pakistani exhibitors, representatives from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and banking officials to encourage B2B engagement and address regulatory and financial challenges.
The Pakistan Pavilion at Beauty West Africa 2025 reaffirms the Ministry of Commerce’s commitment to promoting Pakistani exports and supporting businesses in accessing high-potential and emerging markets across Africa.
