Baku ( WNAM MONITORING): The short documentary “Step” (Addım), produced by the “Gilavar Photo Club” Public Union, has been chosen for the official screening program under the documentary category at the “Dreamz Catcher” International Film Festival in India.
The film centers on Hasanali Alizade, who suffered severe injuries in a landmine explosion. Through his personal narrative, the documentary highlights the enduring human cost of landmine incidents and underscores the post-conflict humanitarian challenges facing the region.
Directed by Elnur Abbasov and produced by Rashad Mehdiyev, the project aims to raise global awareness regarding the threat of landmine contamination and bring the experiences of survivors to an international audience. The production was executed by “Today Media and Documentary” under a commission from the “Gilavar Photo Club” Public Union, with financial backing from the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations.
