To many it might me a good news that the IMF has agreed to talk to coming new government in Pakistan in April 2024 in regard to fresh IMF loan but to many the need of the hour is to get rid of IMF as India did it back in 1992 when Manmohan Singh was its Prime Minister.
There are many economists who believe that we have to cut our coat according to our cloth. Unless a system of direct taxation is levied in this country where its every citizen is made to pay tax according to his real income and austerity becomes the order of the day and those in power start living like an ordinary citizen of the country and VVIP culture is buried for good in the true sense of the word no poor -friendly developmental project can be launched for the amelioration of of the lot of the common man who doesn’t know where his next meal is coming from.
The cleavage between the filthy rich and the poverty stricken majority of the people living below the poverty line will have to bridged with strong legal and administrative steps if powers that be want that there is no bloody revolution in the country which is knocking our doors now.
