Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have made press statements.
Both the leaders held a meeting in a limited format. The ceremony of signing Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan documents has also been held with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited Alley of Honors to pay respect and lay a wreath at the tomb of National Leader, founder and architect of the modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev. The Kazakh President also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva. He visited the Alley of Martyrs in Bak commemorated Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity. The Kazakh President laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev then enjoyed a panoramic view of Baku as he was informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the redevelopment works carried out in the city.
