GAZA(WNAM Monitoring): Despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan, the Israeli occupation continued today its attacks and airstrikes against the besieged Gaza Strip, resulting in several casualties.
According to sources, nine civilians were killed in Israeli airstrikes that targeted several homes and areas in Gaza City.
Israeli warplanes launched several raids targeting the Ajor family home west of the city, killing eight civilians, including children and women, and injuring several others.
A citizen was also killed and others were injured in the Israeli bombardment of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.
At least seven civilians were also injured in a series of violent Israeli strikes that targeted areas near the city’s eastern district of Zeitoun.
On Monday, the UN Security Council passed a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan and affirming the urgent need to expand the flow of aid into Gaza.
