With the efforts of Iranian experts, Iran would become self-sufficient and would turn into the space hub of the region according to the country’s 10-year space industry plan, Zarepour said on Monday morning.
He said that the country is focusing on marketing its space services at the global level, especially in the field of light launchers and small satellites.
“Iran has the ability to manufacture small satellites under 100 kg, and currently there are customers worldwide for this type of satellites.”
By holding space exhibitions and events, the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks to attract international partners and develop cooperation in this field, he added.
Back in March, Zarepour said that the year 1402 (March 21, 2023-2024) was the most brilliant year in the country’s space development, noting that 6 satellites were launched and numerous satellites were put into orbit.
He said that Iran managed to resume its life in the space program after 10 years of closure, pointing out that the construction of the country’s largest space base began and its first phase will be implemented next year.
