WNAM MONITORING: The National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the city of Arkadag on Thursday, where he familiarized himself with projects of various purpose objects planned for construction in the second stage of the city’s development.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, Deryageldi Orazov, and the mayor of Arkadag, Gulshat Mammedova, reported on the features of the prepared projects and the proposed construction projects.

Among them are projects for the design of the children’s park of the city of Arkadag, as well as the Saglyk square, including sculptures to be installed there, repair of streets between the monuments of Akhan and Polatly, a scheme of areas proposed for bypassing the Ashgabat-Gokdepe highway, as well as samples of building decor and objects of road transport infrastructure, drawings for the division of plots of the museum, and the location of construction sites of the medical cluster.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of high-quality finishing of social facilities in the new development, particularly highlighting the museum. The National Leader of the Turkmen People noted that architectural design should align with the buildings’ functional purposes, work within the smart city project should adhere to international standards and uphold high quality, and underscored the importance of integrating digital technologies into production processes.

Moreover, on behalf of numerous residents, the mayor of Arkadag formally requested the National Leader of the Turkmen People to consider establishing a new carpet enterprise in the area.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed support for the proposal, indicating it would be presented to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for consideration and potential approval. Pending the leader’s endorsement, he emphasized the viability of establishing a carpet factory in the designated area.

The National Leader of the Turkmen People also visited the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center to review the activities of the Charitable Foundation for the Assistance of Children in Need under the Foundation.
