WNAM REPORT: Import of passenger cars to Kyrgyzstan began to increase again in June. The National Statistical Committee provided the data.
In January-March 2024, the import of passenger cars from abroad increased every month and reached a peak in the first month of spring, when 22,600 vehicles were imported to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Starting from April, deliveries declined and fell in May to a minimum since the beginning of the year — 6,600 vehicles.
The growth of imports of passenger cars resumed in June — 7,400 vehicles were imported.
In total, 71,300 passenger cars were imported to Kyrgyzstan in the first half of the year. This is one third higher than in the same period of 2023.
Earlier it was reported that imports of cars from China to Kyrgyzstan increased almost 45 times for a year.
Recall, the procedure for calculating payments for cars imported from the EAEU countries has changed in Russia from April 1, 2024.
