WNAM REPORT: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto extended appreciation to his aides in the Red and White Cabinet for working notably in their first 44 days in office since October 20.

“This is just our 44th day in power, and I had spent 16 days of the period traveling (abroad). However, I would like to admit that I am very content with the performance of my administration in these 44 days,” he remarked.

Prabowo made the statement during a meeting with about 50 business actors from the United States who are members of the US-ASEAN Business Council at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday.

The president highlighted that his ministers have consistently pursued the actualization of most of his set targets.

He then thanked the ministers for staying true to their commitments and working cohesively as a team.
Furthermore, Prabowo told the US business players that he had received reports of his ministers’ performances at a plenary cabinet meeting on Monday (December 2). Ministers, deputy ministers, and leaders of other state institutions attended the meeting.

He admitted to being impressed by his ministers’ consistency in working swiftly while he was on the 16-day world tour.

“I was very surprised by the work reports I received from my ministers upon my return. I think they have been working in a very quick and impressive manner,” he stated.

Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani, Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Djiwandono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya accompanied President Prabowo to today’s meeting.

US Ambassador to Indonesia Kamala Shirin Lakhdir and Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Hashim Djojohadikusumo also joined the event.
