WNAM REPORT: Kazakh Trade and Integration Minister Arman Shakkaliyev met with Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the United Arab Emirates’ Minister of State for Foreign Trade, at the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan at the EXPO 2020 in Dubai to debate key directions of bilateral cooperation in trade, joint projects and logistics.
There is a growing demand in the UAE for products made in Kazakhstan. Arman Shakkaliyev affirmed the country’s readiness to export organic farm products, including chilled mutton which has already won recognition in the UAE, high-quality flour, sunflower oil, confectionery and dairy products.
For the past 10 months, Kazakhstan’s lamb exports doubled as compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 13,300 tons up to 45.3 million US dollars. Export earnings this year grew by 64%.
The Kazakh minister stressed over 1,800 domestic and foreign companies passed certification since 2014 proving the high quality and compliance of Kazakhstani goods with international standards.
QazTrade JSC CEO Zhenis Osserbai also presented the country’s export potential and key directions for entering the UAE markets.
