WNAM REPORT: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was saddened by the news of numerous human casualties and injured ones following a devastating earthquake in the city of Xigaze in the Xizang Autonomous Region, China.
The Kazakh leader on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on his behalf expressed sincere condolences to Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping, the family members of those died and the friendly people of China as well as wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
Earlier it was reported that 53 people had been confirmed dead, and 62 others injured as of Tuesday noon, after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Dingri County in the city of Xigaze in the Xizang Autonomous Region, China.
