WNAM REPORT: Turkmenistan has put forward an initiative to hold a Forum of Women Leaders of Central Asia and the European Union, which will be held in the first ten days of April 2025 in Ashgabat. This proposal was made by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov at a government meeting, as per sources.
According to the head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, this event will be an important step in the development of the country’s gender policy.
“Turkmenistan pays special attention to gender policy in order to expand women’s opportunities. Cooperation with foreign countries and international organizations is carried out in this direction. In this regard, it is proposed to organize a Forum of Women Leaders of Central Asia and the European Union in Ashgabat in the first ten days of April this year,” Rashid Meredov said.
