WNAM MONITORING; The UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will organize COP29 Debrief event in Switzerland on outcomes of the 2024 conference while looking ahead to COP30.
COP29 held in Baku, Azerbaijan, concluded with significant progress across critical areas, paving the way for advancements at COP30 in Brazil. This debrief will focus on key takeaways, particularly in climate finance, trade, and investment, while setting the stage for impactful developments in 2025 and beyond. The meeting aims to provide delegates with a comprehensive understanding of COP29 Azerbaijan results, highlighting priority areas for UNCTAD and future activities leading up to COP30 in Belem, Brazil.
The Azerbaijani side will be represented at the discussions by Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, as well as Elmar Mammadov, Co-Leader of the COP29 Presidency Action Agenda Global and Regional Initiatives Team.
COP30 will be held in Brazil on November 10-21, 2025.
