WNAM Monitoring: In 2023 the list of visa-free entry countries was expanded to 82 nationalities for holders of all types of passports, including 29 countries for the regular passports. The mutual agreements were concluded with three countries, including Bangladesh (diplomatic and official passports), Seychelles, and San Marino (holders of all types of passports), Aibek Smadiyarov, the head of the communications department of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
He added, that this year Kazakhstan signed mutual visa exemption agreements with China and Vietnam.
Smadiyarov stressed the growing strategic role of the Central Asian Five in the international processes.
For the first time, the meeting of the ministers of five Central Asian countries and 27 European Union (EU) states took place. Besides, for the first time, the foreign minister of Kazakhstan paid official visits to Romania, Serbia, and Northern Macedonia. He also visited Belgium, Hungary, and Luxembourg and met with counterparts from Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Albania at international events.
Another highlight is the participation of the Kazakh President in the 78th session of the UN GA and meetings with the UN Secretary-General, presidents of Hungary, Estonia, Finland, Iran, Slovenia, South Korea, Kenya, Mongolia, Portugal, and Romania, and heads of the world’s largest companies.
