WNAM REPORT: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan, along with a high-level delegation, visited the COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad to explore collaborative opportunities for youth development, science, and technology advancement.
The delegation included Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC); Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan; Prof. Dr. Zia ul Qayyum, Executive Director HEC, Mr. Muhammad Aamir Jan, Executive Director of NAVTTC, and senior officials from PMYP.
The delegation was warmly received by H.E. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of COMSTECH, who led an in-depth discussion on COMSTECH’s initiatives aimed at empowering young scientists and professionals across the OIC region, with a special focus on Pakistan.
During the meeting, Prof. Choudhary delivered a comprehensive presentation on COMSTECH’s ongoing efforts in science, technology, and capacity-building programs designed to equip youth with cutting-edge skills and knowledge. He highlighted COMSTECH’s commitment to fostering innovation, research, and scientific excellence.
Chairman (PMYP) Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan appreciated COMSTECH’s remarkable achievements and stressed the importance of further strengthening the organization through strategic partnerships and collaborations. He assured his full support in advancing COMSTECH’s mission and promoting its initiatives.
“It is time to establish robust linkages and launch youth-centric programs that will create new opportunities for skill development, technology advancement, and entrepreneurship. COMSTECH provides a powerful platform to strengthen Pakistan’s presence in the OIC region and the world,” stated Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to launch joint initiatives focusing on youth skill development, science and technology, and professional training. Chairman Rana Mashood reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering young people, while Prof. Choudhary assured COMSTECH’s dedication to fostering innovation, scientific progress, and global partnerships.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening Pakistan’s scientific and technological landscape and creating new opportunities for young professionals across various emerging fields.
