ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ):  Patron-in-Chief of the United Business Group (UBG) in FPCCI, SM Tanveer, stated that the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce is currently achieving exports worth Rs. 2 billion annually. With full government support, this figure can be multiplied. He emphasized that increasing exports is the only path to economic growth and stability in the country. He was speaking as the chief guest at an expo organized by the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad.

He was accompanied by UBG Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari, UBG Islamabad Region President Abdul Rauf Alam, and FPCCI Vice Presidents Zaki Ijaz, Tariq Jadoon, and Zain Iftikhar. Upon arrival at the expo, Gujranwala Chamber President Raja Muhammad Siddiq Khan warmly welcomed SM Tanveer and the other guests.

SM Tanveer stated that industries in Gujranwala are earning valuable foreign exchange for the country through their own efforts. If the government provides favorable policies and facilities for boosting exports, not only Gujranwala but the entire country can witness a significant rise in exports.

UBG Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari said that the United Business Group has always raised the voice of traders, industrialists, and exporters. He urged the government to set export targets in collaboration with chambers of commerce and the business community and to provide complete support.

Raja Muhammad Siddiq Khan remarked that the industrialists and traders of Gujranwala play a vital role in the country’s economic development. Despite limited resources, exports continue to grow, and with proper government support, they could increase manifold. He thanked the UBG leadership for representing the concerns of the business community on all platforms.

UBG Islamabad Region President Abdul Rauf Alam highlighted the urgent need to restore the business community’s confidence. FPCCI Vice Presidents Zaki Ijaz, Tariq Jadoon, and Zain Iftikhar also urged the government to take immediate steps to resolve the issues faced by the business community.

A large number of industrialists, traders, and exporters from Gujranwala, Islamabad, and other cities participated in the expo and appreciated the services of UBG.
