WNAM REPORT: Chairman of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Hayashi Nobumitsu expressed the interest of Japanese business circles and financial institutions in expanding bilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan. This became known during a meeting with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which took place as part of his visit to Japan.
The head of the financial institution emphasized the importance of long-term effective cooperation with Turkmenistan and highly appreciated the country’s economic policy. During the conversation, special attention was paid to the strategy of state development of Turkmenistan, which provides for the creation of scientifically based production and the introduction of advanced environmentally friendly technologies in all sectors of the national economy.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the accumulated positive experience of partnership between Turkmenistan and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, focusing on the importance of joint projects with Japanese companies. At the end of the meeting, he expressed confidence in the continuation of productive, mutually beneficial cooperation.
Let us recall that the visit of the head of Turkmenistan to Japan began with a visit to the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, where the National Day of Turkmenistan was held. Hayashi Nobumitsu especially noted that holding this event among the first at the exhibition was a significant event.
