Pezeshkian added, “We can have better relations with neighboring countries and the region than with European countries.”
“Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have long been friends and supporters of each other. We have many common points in the areas of religion, culture, and politics,” he said.
Azeri president said for his part, “I believe that this bilateral meeting will develop relations between the two countries. We have had a very good exchange of views on various issues. Both countries should work to expand and develop relations.”
“Important documents were signed between the two countries, and these documents reflect the efforts of the two countries to expand bilateral relations,” Aliyev said.
“The North-South Corridor is of great importance to the countries participating in this project. The Republic of Azerbaijan will provide all appropriate conditions for the strengthening and exploitation of the North-South Corridor,” he added.
