ASTANA: Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his congratulations to Kazakhstanis on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas.
In his congratulatory message, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wholeheartedly congratulated all Orthodox Christians of Kazakhstan on the Orthodox Christmas.
He emphasized that this holiday is the epitome of high humanist ideals as it hails the triumph of kindness and fairness. The Orthodox Christmas encourages people to be merciful, take care of people around them, gives hope and joy.
The Head of State lauded an important role that Christianity plays in strengthening of timeless moral values, upbringing of the youth and preserving of rich and diverse cultural heritage in Kazakhstan. Christianity, according to him, contributes in every possible way to the strengthening of nationwide unity, a solid foundation of the gradual progress of the country.
President Tokayev expressed confidence that Orthodox Christians will greatly contribute to building of Just Kazakhstan.
In conclusion, he wished all Kazakhstanis solid health, happiness and well-being.
