WNAM REPORT: Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman, BoG, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, met with Mr. Elio Di Rupo, former Belgian Prime Minister and a Member of European Parliament at Brussels, and discussed with him the issues of bilateral interests, and the recent Indian aggression on the basis of false allegations of the Pehlgam incident. The Chairman, OPF reiterated that Pakistan always wants peace and demands the resolution of the Kashmir issue based on UN Security Council resolutions, which call for a free and impartial plebiscite and the right of self-determination for the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Besides, the Chairman apprised Elio Di Rupo about the bulge of Pakistani youth and sought his cooperation to train them in demanding skills on international standards to meet the labour force shortage in European countries.
Syed Qamar Raza also sought his support for GSP Plus, ensuring him that the Government of Pakistan is always taking effective measures to fulfill specific conditions of labour standards and others.
The Chairman, OPF also extended an invitation to Elio Di Rupo, to visit Pakistan, which he has accepted.
