WNAM REPORT: A high-level delegation from the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by President Zahid Hussain, visited the Islamabad office of the United Business Group (UBG), where they held a special meeting with UBG Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari and UBG Central Core Committee member Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the country’s current economic situation, the challenges faced by the business community, and the effective role of chambers. The delegation appreciated UBG’s business-friendly policies, principled stance, and continuous struggle for the rights of the business community, expressing full confidence in its leadership.
The delegation stated, “We have stood with UBG in the past, and we will continue to fully support it in this struggle for the business community. UBG is the only platform that effectively highlights the real issues of traders at the highest level and takes serious steps for their resolution.”
On this occasion, the delegation also invited the UBG leadership to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s new building on June 29. They shared that the building has been constructed entirely with the chamber’s own financial resources, marking a historic milestone for the business community of Jhelum. The establishment of this building is a practical testament to the chamber’s independence, determination, and the unity of the local business community.
Zafar Bakhtawari and Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari thanked the delegation for their visit and invitation, stating that the development of the Jhelum Chamber reflects the commitment of the business community, and UBG always encourages such positive initiatives. They emphasized that UBG is both an ideological and practical movement, committed to protecting the rights of traders, ensuring their welfare, and working for the betterment of the national economy.
Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari stated that UBG’s mission is not limited to elections; rather, it is an ongoing effort to represent traders across the country and to bring their issues to the highest forums. He praised the unity and vision demonstrated by the traders of Jhelum and assured participation in their historic moment on June 29.
UBG has always been actively working to safeguard the interests of traders and to resolve their issues—and it will continue to do so. The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere with a mutual agreement to strengthen future cooperation.
