ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT):  Mian Akram Farid, Chairman of Central EFP and former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), stated that “Alhamdulillah, today Pakistan’s defense has become impregnable. Now is the time to strengthen Pakistan economically as well.” He expressed these views while addressing a Youm-e-Takbir (Day of Greatness) ceremony organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He further stated that all rulers of Pakistan played a vital role in Pakistan’s nuclear program. This includes the founder of the nuclear program, former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who appointed Dr. Abdul Qadeer as the head of Kahuta Research Laboratories and provided all government support. Former President Ghulam Ishaq Khan provided full protection despite all external pressure. Finally, on May 28, 1998, the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ordered Dr. Abdul Qadeer and his team to conduct Pakistan’s nuclear tests at Chagai, despite warnings of international economic sanctions. Thus, Pakistan became the first Islamic nation and the seventh country in the world to possess nuclear power.
He added that Pakistan’s business community played an important role in Pakistan’s nuclear program, and after the nuclear tests, the business community endured economic sanctions for the sake of national integrity. He also paid tribute to Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir for giving India a historic and crushing response through Operation Murasoor, and today, the entire business community pays homage to him.
Nasir Qureshi, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), welcomed the chief guest, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program, and all esteemed guests to the ceremony. He said that “today is a day of pride for all Pakistanis, and Inshallah, Pakistan will continue to shine brightly throughout the world until the Day of Judgment.”
The chief guest, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program, stated that the Pakistani nation showed unparalleled unity after the Indian attack, and the media thwarted Indian propaganda. He highlighted that “our youth have defeated India in the fields of fifth-generation warfare and cyber security.” He added that investments are being made under the Prime Minister Youth Program to empower youth, which includes the establishment of Digital Youth Hubs and the first National Youth and Adolescent Policy.
Addressing the ceremony, Major General (R) Zahid Mahmood described Youm-e-Takbir as an expression of the nation’s unwavering resolve. He emphasized that the Pakistani nation should learn from past mistakes and move forward, and that Pakistan’s defense institutions have fully defended the homeland.
Tariq Sadiq, Chairman of the Founder Group, congratulated the Pakistani nation on Youm-e-Takbir and the success of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous, and on behalf of the industrial community, pledged to stabilize the country.
Special certificates were distributed to social media influencers by the chief guest. On this occasion, a commemorative shield was presented to Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.
