LAHORE ( WNAM REPORT ): In pursuance of the directives issued by the Cheif Minister, Punjab a coordination committee has been constituted to address issues related to the projects of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) across Punjab as well as complaints of overseas Pakistanis referred by the Foundation. The first meeting of the Coordination Committee was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The meeting was chaired by senior officials including Mr. Saif Anwar Jappa, Special Secretary to CM (Law & Order), Mr. Rafaqat Ali Nissoana, Secretary (I&C), S&GD, Mr. Zahid Nawaz Murwat, SSP/AIG (Operations), CPO Lahore, the Managing Director – OPF, and other concerned officers from the OPF and Punjab Government.
The committee members reviewed challenges faced by OPF projects across Punjab and grievances of overseas Pakistanis. It was decided to establish a dedicated complaints resolution mechanism, in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), to ensure streamlined monitoring and timely resolution of cases. The system will be overseen by the Coordination Committee.
It was also agreed that the committee would convene monthly follow-up meetings to assess progress in resolving the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis.
The committee members reaffirmed their commitment to take all necessary measures, as directed by the Chief Minister, to ensure swift and effective redressal of issues of OPF and Overseas Pakistanis referred by the OPF.
