WNAM MONITORING: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Batu Export enterprise located in Parkent district.

This modern project was implemented with an investment of $15 million. The company processes up to 5,000 tons of fruits and vegetables annually, using produce sourced from Tashkent, Samarkand, and Fergana regions and neighboring Afghanistan.

The enterprise is equipped with advanced machinery from Japan, Germany, Belgium, and China, enabling high product quality and competitiveness in foreign markets. Currently, the company provides 180 permanent jobs, with an average monthly salary of 7 million UZS for its employees.

The products manufactured here are exported to the CIS countries, the European Union, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Head of State got familiar with the production process and spoke with the company’s employees.

“Parkent district holds tremendous potential in fruit and vegetable cultivation. With modern technologies in place, we have every opportunity to export fresh and dried fruits to the global market. Take Japan, for instance, which has a strong interest in Uzbek products. The key is to ensure proper orchard maintenance and deliver the produce in excellent condition. If we continue to develop such enterprises, this sector alone could generate several billion dollars in revenue”, the President emphasized.

Export-oriented agricultural products from Tashkent region were also showcased. Last year, the region exported fruits and vegetables worth $130 million. However, given the natural conditions and potential of the area, this figure remains insufficient.

To stimulate export activities, enterprises are offered seven types of financial support, three tax incentives, and preference categories. Currently, 175 fruit and vegetable processing enterprises operate in Tashkent region, with yearly processing levels steadily increasing. A significant rise in export figures is expected this year.
